Last Snow

my frosted breath melts in the air
upon the crisped midnight
i can't even see the stars
the snow falls around the clasped hand
as if to hide them away
powdered snow lying thickly
colours everything in white
and faintly conceals cruel reality
so placed your numbed hands
softly on top of mine
and just like that together we will sink into the snow

the pure white snow will hide us two away
so don't stop yet
more, just a little longer still
keep deceiving me with lies
until this snow fall ends
a transient honeymoon
the sad wish I've kept hidden away
suddenly feels like it'll overflow
see only me
don't ever let go
hold me tight
and
stay here by my side
but my unfulfilled wish
still remain unsaid
to melt and dissapear like the dancing snow

powdered snow lying thickly
colours everything in white
and faintly conceals cruel reality
even with our numbed hands
softly intertwined
i will never reflect in your eyes
promises, smiles and warmth
blur together as if waking from a dream
really though, I had known
a long, long time ago
you would never live here with me.
